Create an Account

Use the app to create a free cloud account for your company, called a workspace. Or start a trial of one of the private cloud plans.

Free accounts are fully featured and do not expire, and can ingest up to 25 GB/month.

The SparkLogs Cloud plan is the best option unless you already use Google Cloud extensively.

Once you create an account, our in-app setup wizard will help you:

Workspace Types​

There are three types of workspaces to choose from:

☁️ SparkLogs Cloud​

Best for most users. SparkLogs fully manages everything in our cloud. Scales from zero to petabytes.

  • Instant setup with no third-party dependencies
  • Live data retention and querying up to 365 days (14 days on the free plan)
  • Archived data retention for 3 years (and you can replicate your archived data to your own storage bucket)
  • Unlimited querying and use of our intelligent query acceleration engine subject to our fair use policy*

🔒 Private Cloud​

Store your data in your own Google Cloud project. Data is received and processed in SparkLogs cloud, but stored in your GCP project. No servers or infrastructure to setup or manage.

  • Best for organizations who want direct access to ingested log data in BigQuery for use with Looker Studio, machine learning, Vertex AI, materialized views, ODBC/JDBC data access, and other advanced BigQuery features
  • Enjoy all the benefits and features of SparkLogs, but with the flexibility to store your data in your own Google Cloud project.
  • You can directly query your data in BigQuery and build custom workflows over your ingested data within GCP.
  • You can further customize live data retention (up to 20 years) and archived data retention (can be unlimited).
  • You pay Google Cloud directly for BigQuery storage write API and storage costs (see cost considerations). This is typically another few cents per GB-ingested.
  • You do not pay for query costs for queries initiated within SparkLogs. You still have unlimited querying and use of our intelligent query acceleration engine, subject to fair use*
  • Setup is quick and easy -- grant the BigQuery User role to our service accounts on your GCP project and you're ready.

🔒 Private Cloud Self-Hosted Querying​

Best for organizations who ingest more than 20 TB/month and want the Private Cloud deployment model and the lowest possible unit costs.

  • All the same features and flexibility of a Private Cloud account, designed for the highest scale environments and the lowest unit costs.
  • In addition to paying Google Cloud for BigQuery ingest and storage, you also pay for BigQuery query costs. Queries are still accelerated by our intelligent query acceleration engine with no limits.
  • With our unique massive-scale adaptive querying technology combined with indexes and BigQuery Fluid Scaling, your BigQuery query costs remain low (see details).
  • Setup is still quick and easy -- grant the BigQuery User role to our service accounts on your GCP project and you're ready

With the Private Cloud plan you do not pay for BigQuery compute / query costs for queries initiated within SparkLogs. You only pay Google Cloud for storage write API and storage costs. If you use BigQuery to directly query your data outside of SparkLogs, you would also pay Google Cloud for these costs.

With the Private Cloud Self-Hosted Querying plan, you pay for all BigQuery costs, including query costs. Query costs are generally quite low (pennies per individual query) due to our unique massive-scale adaptive querying technology that ensures most queries have a fixed low cost, regardless of the amount of data queried. This plan is designed to be used in conjunction with a BigQuery Enterprise reservation that auto-scales from zero slots and with Fluid Scaling. A BigQuery commitment is NOT required.

*Unlimited querying fair use policy: We reserve the right to rate-limit or throttle querying that is severely excessive or abusive.
